Re: England vs Malta - Official Match Thread
Southgate has a problem now. Several poor performances and he can't drop them all.
Rose and Walker were half the players that perform so well for Spurs. I think Antonio would of beaten his man more than Walker playing at right back..
Cahill looked vunerable.
Walcott never beat his man and can't recall him shooting.
Sturridge played more in midfield, scored with a great header but doesn't seem to learn that as a striker he should be in the box.
As for Rooney, I've always thought he was worth his place but after that inept performance and think his time is up.Hardly found his man with a meaning full pass all day. Made the keeper save well from a cross that turned into a shot.

Positives were Alli,Stones and Lingard linked up well but needs to learn to shoot on target. (as well as get rid of that cringe look when he misses ) .
Henderson was the biggest plus though,he seemed to do exactly what the manager asked him to do,maybe the Klopp effectis working. His delivery was exactly what was needed form playing deep and not further forward where he thinks he is Steven Gerrard,he's not.
He kept it simple.

Rashford actually looked poor when he came on but he should of started. He's the man in the box we need.

I feel over the course of the next few games Rooney,Sturridge and Cahill will be dropped as they will not be playing for their clubs enough, making Southgates job a lot easier.

You see, that's the trouble with dimwitted berks like you. You completely ignore my point about how much Bilic has pissed Antonio about and that you should take this into account before slagging him off. You then go on to accuse me of something I've never said; namely that I don't think that Noble can do any wrong. Something that couldn't be further from the truth.
There's another prat who comes on here that deploys the same 'tactic'; goes by the name of Face. You wouldn't by any chance be related would you?

I watched about five minutes of this before succumbing to family unity and watching Pointless Celebrities and Strictly. That's right, ballroom dancing was more entertaining than an International football match.

I was at work watching it and got that bored I actually did some work instead . Will get nowhere with these players . Sturridge thinks he's Ronaldo with all the stepover shit but just seems to slow the game down as he's not very good at it . Does he realise he's a striker ? Rooney has deteriorated so quickly it's embarrassing. Play him as a striker or don't play him at all . Fucking dross !

I will criticise whover I wish. He's been poor this season and seems to be playing for himself rather than the team since the call up. His celebrations are also cringeworthy.

You sound like some of the dickheads at the new stadium that think Noble is beyond reproach because "he's one of our own" or some such cringe. Bollocks to these fucking embarrassing cunts and bollocks to you, you old cunt.

I'll do what I want and you can fucking eat that up.

You shouldn't be having a pop at Antonio. The bloke has been continually fucked around by Bilic, who has played him in five different positions this season. He had him play in four positions in the last game, so how the fuck anyone with half a brain cell can expect him to be on top form is beyond me.
If he'd been brought on tonight I reckon he would have shown up those useless dullards that bored us all to death.

I'm not a grandparent; not yet.

Went to the game, was utterly bored in the second half and fucked off with ten to go. 81,000 and one of the flattest atmospheres you'll ever see.

What a load of old shit. The same old shit.

Wtf is Rooney playing? A couple of good cross field passes but even then Walker had to work hard to bring the ball under control i.e. The crosses weren't that great.

He didn't get the ball over the wall and his corners are pony.

Drop the granny shagger. He's only a bench warmer these days at Manure.

For about a decade now, all that international football means is an annoying break from interesting football. The only positive is that occasionally the break allows our team to get a couple of players fit. Who'd pay to use their Saturday up like this? Pfft.

Watch Scotland versus Lithuania at 8 o clock, should be more competitive.
